This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through Mercato Interiors’ website and related digital services. It does not replace any additional privacy notices, financing disclosures, sales terms, design-service terms, or SMS terms that may apply to specific services.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide. We may collect information that you choose to provide, including:

  • name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and preferred contact method;

  • project type, room or category of interest, design preferences, furniture preferences, designer preference, project timing, budget or project-investment ranges, and related notes;
  • messages, questions, chat transcripts, contact-form submissions, customer-service inquiries, and digital communications;
  • photos, room images, floor plans, files, measurements, or other materials you choose to upload or send;
  • order, delivery, service, warranty, or follow-up information that you choose to provide through digital channels.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website or digital services, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, general location information, referring page, pages viewed, date and time of visit, and similar technical information;
  • page URL, product or category page, browsing context, source, campaign, UTM parameters, and other information used to understand how visitors interact with our website;
  • cookies, pixels, tags, analytics identifiers, advertising identifiers, and similar tracking technologies.

AI-assisted chat information. Our website may use AiPRL Assist to provide AI-assisted chat and related customer-engagement services. When you use the chat feature, we and AiPRL Assist may collect and process information such as chat messages, contact information you provide, page URL and browsing context at the time of chat, device and browser type, IP address, AI-generated summaries, tags, routing details, appointment information, lead status, and other information you choose to share. Where enabled, the chat service may use automated tools to understand context, intent, sentiment, and routing needs, and may use prior chat or customer context to support follow-up and reduce the need for repeated information.

Sensitive information. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, payment-card numbers, financial account information, medical diagnoses, health conditions, or other sensitive personal information through website forms or chat unless specifically requested through an approved secure process. If you choose to share functional design needs, accessibility preferences, delivery-access details, or similar information relevant to your project, we use that information to respond to your request and help provide the requested service.

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
  • schedule appointments, consultations, showroom visits, and follow-up communications;
  • route inquiries to appropriate Mercato managers, designers, sales associates, or service personnel;
  • understand project needs, product interests, design preferences, and customer-service requests;
  • prepare or support quotes, orders, deliveries, installations, service requests, and ongoing customer relationships;
  • send transactional, service-related, appointment-related, and follow-up communications;
  • send marketing communications where permitted by law or with your consent, and allow you to opt out as required;
  • operate, maintain, secure, test, and improve our website, chat services, forms, analytics, and digital communications;
  • measure website performance, advertising performance, lead sources, and campaign effectiveness;
  • detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, misuse, or unlawful activity;
  • comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, resolve disputes, and protect Mercato, our customers, and others.

4. AI-Assisted Chat and Service Provider Processing

Mercato may use AiPRL Assist and other service providers to operate website chat, customer-engagement tools, analytics, routing, notifications, and related services. AiPRL Assist processes information on Mercato’s behalf to provide and support the chat service and related customer-engagement functions.

Automated or AI-assisted chat responses are intended to help answer general questions and route inquiries. Information provided through chat is not a final quote, order confirmation, delivery commitment, return authorization, warranty determination, financing approval, or modification of Mercato’s written terms. Final pricing, availability, lead times, delivery, installation, cancellation, return, warranty, financing, and design-service terms must be confirmed by Mercato in writing.

Unless Mercato specifically authorizes otherwise in writing, Mercato-specific customer data and conversation content are not used by AiPRL Assist to train shared AI models for other customers. De-identified, anonymized, or aggregated information may be used to operate, secure, analyze, and optimize the services.

5. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, advertising tools, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, measure website performance, understand visitor activity, improve digital services, protect against fraud or misuse, and evaluate advertising and marketing effectiveness.

These technologies may collect information about your activity on our website and, depending on the technology, may involve third parties that collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services. We may use analytics and advertising partners, including digital media agencies and advertising platforms, to help measure campaign performance, understand lead sources, and improve the relevance of our marketing.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and may be able to limit certain advertising or tracking through platform settings, device settings, or industry opt-out tools. Some website features may not function properly if cookies or similar technologies are disabled.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share personal information as described below:

  • with service providers that help us operate our website, chat service, analytics, advertising measurement, customer communications, appointment scheduling, payment processing, financing referrals, delivery, installation, customer service, security, hosting, and other business operations;
  • with AiPRL Assist and related technology providers to operate AI-assisted chat, customer-engagement, routing, notifications, analytics, and support services;
  • with advertising and analytics partners to measure website and campaign performance, attribute leads or conversions, and improve marketing effectiveness;
  • with social media platforms or messaging platforms if you choose to interact with us through those platforms or if such integrations are enabled;
  • with professional advisors, insurers, auditors, legal counsel, or similar parties when reasonably necessary for business, legal, or compliance purposes;
  • when required or permitted by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, government request, or to protect rights, safety, security, or property;
  • in connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections;
  • with your consent or at your direction.

We do not authorize service providers to use Mercato customer-level data, chat transcripts, social messages, CRM records, or customer contact information for their own marketing purposes unless Mercato has authorized the use and the use is disclosed as required by law. We do not share mobile phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Email and SMS Communications

If you provide your email address or phone number, we may contact you about your inquiry, appointment, project, order, service request, or related customer-service matter. If you consent to receive text messages, message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary based on your inquiries and preferences. You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP, and you may request help by replying HELP. Consent to receive marketing texts is not required to make a purchase.

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by contacting us through the contact information on our website. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may continue to send transactional or service-related messages as permitted by law.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, respond to inquiries, support customer relationships, complete transactions, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Chatbot and service-provider data may be retained according to Mercato’s applicable agreements with those providers and applicable law. If Mercato terminates a chatbot service provider relationship, provider-held Mercato client data will be deleted or anonymized within the applicable contractual timeframe unless Mercato requests otherwise in writing or retention is legally required.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Please use care when deciding what information to submit through website forms, chat, email, or other digital channels.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to personal information we maintain about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of information, opt out of marketing communications, withdraw SMS consent, and submit a request regarding the sale or sharing of covered information. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.
